The 2023 “Day of Remembrance” was held Wednesday May 10, 2023. Our service was well attended as we added another hero to our wall this year. Officer John F Burke Jr. of the Clifton Heights Police Department. End of Watch January 3, 2022. We hope the Burke family finds comfort here at Rose Tree.

We would like to thank all those who attended to support our survivors.

The 2022 “Day of Remembrance” was held on Wednesday May 11, 2022. What a wonderful service. Unfortunately, the foundation had to place new heroes on the wall this year, Sergeant Kevin Reading (HPD), Superintendent Scott D Mahoney (DCPP), and Officer Brownelle Barrett-Lee (CPD). Welcome heroes and your families! The foundation would like to thank everyone to came out and made this year’s service very special!

Comedy Night was a blast!

On Saturday March 5, 2022, the foundation held it’s first comedy night at Harrah’s casino. The night was a great success. A special thanks goes out to Joe Conklin and his team of comedians. Nothing but gut wrenching laughter from beginning to end.  We would also like to thank all of our sponsors. Finally, all of those that came out, we hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did. Thanks to all!

Ride to Remember 2021 – Great turnout

The 2021 Ride to Remember is in the books! What another great turnout! The weather was awesome.  The DCLEMF wants to thank all of our riders (over 200 bikes), with a special thanks to the Centurions MC for their large group participation. We also need to thank our police escorts  for the safe ride and the FOP Lodge 27 for the entertainment and refreshments at the memorial. Finally, we want to thank Capozzoli Catering for the great food and Tom & Jerry’s for a nice landing spot.

DAY OF REMEMBRANCE 2021

Mother Nature could not stop us! Wow, what a “Day of Remembrance!” 2021 will be remembered for the heavy rain, but it will also be remembered for the great turnout of survivors, law enforcement, and invited guests! Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and made our return to in person remembrance a success. If you get a chance, please visit the memorial and check out our new plaque dedicated to the all the first responder heroes from the Wade Dump fire in Chester, Pa.  in 1978. It is a beautiful remembrance.
