DAY OF REMEMBRANCE 2021

Mother Nature could not stop us! Wow, what a “Day of Remembrance!” 2021 will be remembered for the heavy rain, but it will also be remembered for the great turnout of survivors, law enforcement, and invited guests! Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and made our return to in person remembrance a success. If you get a chance, please visit the memorial and check out our new plaque dedicated to the all the first responder heroes from the Wade Dump fire in Chester, Pa.  in 1978. It is a beautiful remembrance.

CLEAN UP DAY 2021

On Saturday, May 1, 2021, we had a great turnout at the Memorial to get ready for our annual “Day of Remembrance” set for Wednesday May 5, 2021. Everything looks good and ready to go! Thanks to DA Stollsteimer for stopping by and lending  us a hand. Also, a big thank you to Gorgeous Grounds Landscaping and Wolfe’s Nursery for their generous donations!

The Year in Review!

The 2021 DCLEMF Webstore is now open!

This year we will again be offering DCLEMF Memorial service shirts and logo items through our web store. The sale of these items help the foundation with it’s mission of remembering Fallen officers of Delaware County. We have opened the store early and plan to make items available for pick up immediately after the Memorial Service on May 5th, 2021. Deadline to place your order is April 11th, 2021. There is also the option to have items dropped off if you work or reside in Delaware County, or even have the items shipped directly to your home. “We Remember”

Remembering Chief Robert Sparks

It was a few years in the making, but patience paid off this morning for our 2nd vice president Dennis Daly. A hero plaque was dedicated to Chief Robert Sparks of the Glenolden Police Department who made the ultimate sacrifice 46 years ago today. March 25,1975. The plaque was placed in the same spot where Chief Sparks was shot and killed during a robbery. Rest In Peace Chief, “We remember”

President Thank You

Now Past President, Jim Reardon would like to thank everyone that made the past 9 years very special. As always stated, the Police Memorial Foundation is made up of volunteers and what has been accomplished to meet the mission’s goals is simply amazing. A special thanks the Executive Board and the Board of Directors of the foundation, the dedication is second to none. The hugs, handshakes, and smiles from our survivors and friends of law enforcement, like our heroes, will never be forgotten! Good luck to our new executive board;    Harry O’Neil (President), Lisa DeMartine (Vice President), Dennis Daly (2nd Vice President), Cyrise Dixon (Secretary), Matt Illich (Treasurer)

RIDE TO REMEMBER “AWESOME TURNOUT!”

On Sunday September 27, 2020, we held our 10th Annual Ride to Remember for the DCLEMF! We were pleasantly overwhelmed. We normally have 100+ motorcycles…this year we had 320!!!! We ran out of everything, shirts, waivers, poker sheets…everything! 😂 But everyone was great and understanding with the fact that we have never had such a turn out! A special thank you to the FOP Lodge 27 for delicious donuts and coffee during a busy registration and Capozzoli Catering who worked tirelessly to make sure we had enough food for everyone!! The best! We would like to also thank Tom & Jerry’s for allowing us to unwind after a great ride. The Radnor Police, the Upper Darby Police, the Park Police, and the Ridley Police provided us with an impeccable escort and kept our riders safe. Thanks guys!

It was an impressive sight to see so many motorcycles come out to honor our fallen Officers. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the DCLEMF, Law Enforcement and our fallen Officers and their families.
